We went to celebrate our sons birthday and I guess so because we got waters and not sodas our waiter assumed we were broke ( we asked 3 times for a water refill until I told my daughter to ask for some water from another server which did a very quick job! Our server looked annoyed when we asked for a higher chair for my toddler! She did not pick up our plates but she kept refilling others people’s sodas and removing their plates! I guess so you if you pay for sodas they assume you’ll have money for tipping and if you get waters you get bad service! Oh well last time coming here!

Very extremely disappointed with the price we paid not worth it! Almost $20 for the dinner and alot of food was not worth it. Hotdogs are you serious and burned!?? No more meat in sauce for the taco shells... Macaroni with meat like school food I swear. No strawberries anymore with chocolate, no cookies, no ice cream, advertised blue icee and no blue color for the advertised shark drink for kids! Watered down icee not thick like it supposed to be. Alot of people looked disappointed besides ourselves. Asked for steak well done and it was nasty red raw! Food was not ready nor backups! Alot missing! Alot of spicy things not suitable for everybody... Mixed vegetable casserole tasted sour and strong! Pretty gross. Will not go again for that price for sure! Not worth it like it used to be. Managers just sitting down instead of checking what is missing behind the food counters! No excuses a good manager makes sure everything is running and refilled! Not wait until last minute! They need new management for sure and bring back the food!

This is the second time I’ve been in this restaurant and 3 or 4 years ago I came and and they had booths sitting behind the sodas machine and 20 minutes later roaches were coming out two on the wall and one in the table, we told the manager and he didn’t even apologize he said that it was normal so we got mad and left….. But this time we dough it was going to be different yes they did put new tables instead of the booths But now the roaches were on the plates section and again we spoke with the manager she called some employees and asked them to remove the plates and this time we asked for a refund and she only refunded us $29 out of $73.97., at the same time one of the employee found a roache and stepped on it so I went back and took a picture but the other roaches got away. The plates are old and the restrooms are in bay conditions and they smelled bad…..I don’t recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I got terribly sick after eating here. What we thought was a normal dinner for us turned into something worse. For the next few days after we ate at this dirty, unsanitary place, we kept throwing up, getting fever, and diarrhea — these are the common symptom of a stomach bug. Overall, Golden Corral is a terrible restaurant, and I will list the reasons why: 1. This restaurant needs to establish a certain policy in which they don't allow kids to touch the food. There were MANY little kids (of all ages) running around the buffet area, serving themselves, touching the food with unwashed hands and zero adult supervision. Those kids were probably laughing, spitting, coughing all over the food, and even one of the kids that bumped into me while serving themselves had a runny nose. The restaurant does a terrible job of supervising the buffet area in general, but they do an even WORSE job at cleaning it. 2. Some of the food looked and tasted questionable. The fried chicken had some bits and pieces of a weird color that would not be able to catch or see unless they have already BITTEN into it, which is what happened to my boyfriend when he was eating the fried chicken. Despite reading the less than favorable reviews we gave it a chance as we have had great experiences in other states. After an evening of stomach aches and questioning my sanity I decided to write this review. The pictures do NOT lie. The “clean” dishes were dirty, the floors are sticky, endless tables had piled up dirty dishes stacked on them. Some of the crew was superficially busy while others were hiding in plain sight. In EVERY bar section the main foods were missing/empty. The counters were dirty; NO ONE was cleaning anything. This is one restaurant in the RGV that I will NOT visit a second time. The service was non-existent. The food I wanted and got to look forward to from other locations was not available. Desert Selection was dirty and lousy. I am sorry I brought my husband here. No need for superficial responses like you left for other reviews.👎
